Over and Across
Galerikertas Studiohanafi cordially invites you to attend the opening of “Over and Across”, a solo exhibition featuring works by the Japanese artist Natsuko Tanaka. “Over and Across” documents Natsuko’s latest explorations into the batik medium which she studied between 2024 and 2025, a medium that inspired her to reexamine her approach to painting. Through batik, Natsuko discovered a different side to her creative process, one that is more defined by meditation and iteration, which marks a departure from her usual style of expressive, intuitive abstract painting.

And will run for 4 weeks until November 22. You can visit Galerikertas Studiohanafi every Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 8 PM Jakarta time (no entry fee).
Aside from the opening ceremony on October 25 which will also involve a discussion session moderated by Esha Tegar Putra with Natsuko and Rizki Asasi as Galerikertas’ in-house curator, Galerikertas Studiohanafi will also hold a batik workshop in collaboration with Rumah Batik Palbatu on November 1, and a live painting session with Natsuko on 22 November to close the exhibition.
